Nzomo shines again in Rift Valley karting

By FeverPitch Team

Round Five of Rift Valley Motor & Sports Club Karting last week saw some awesome driving skills, lots of overtaking and stunning lap times.

It was terrific to see lap records shattered in 60cc, Junior Rotax and KF2.

It was Amani Nzomo (50cc), Philip Ndegwa (60cc), Rafe Trundell (Junior Rotax) and Dilip Dinesh (KF2) who had the last laugh.

Organisers said the pits will be extended to accommodate the growing numbers of karters. And after round five, the general feeling was that all and sundry will be in for a bumper race at next meeting on July 17.

Amani Nzomo won the 50cc class after scoring 57 points and beating Damon Oosterik and Prabjot Saimbi to the stunning podium dash.

Ndegwa surprised everyone including himself when he won his maiden race at 60cc. He chalked up a maximum 60 points as Jason Oosterik came second on 51and Ryan Bailey completing the podium showdown on 45.

Guennadi Khoda came fourth with while 39 Antarjot Saimbi settling for fifth.
