The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has refuted claims that they had summoned the ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ rapper, King Kaka, on Tuesday.
“We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima alias RabbitTheKing has been summoned.”
Anybody wishing for publicity should be warned to desist from using the @DCI_Kenya as platform in seeking media attention.

King Kaka had earlier communicated via his official twitter account that he had been summoned by DCI officers at their Kiambu headquarters.
I have just been summoned by The CID. — KING KAKA (@RabbitTheKing) December 17, 2019
The rapper recently released a hard-hitting anti-corruption song titled ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ that exposes voter ignorance and "stupidity" in Kenya and how it is manifested in the election and re-election of crooks.
He is to appear before the authority at midday.
I have spoken to @RabbitTheKing and he informs me that @DCI_Kenya have summoned him. His friends, fellow artistes and Kenyans of goodwill are joining him at DCI Headquarters, Kiambu Road, at 12pm. On Monday, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru ordered the artiste to pull down the song from all social media platforms and apologise to her in writing or face legal suit.
Waiguru accused King Kaka of defaming her in a verse in the song referring to a National Youth Service scandal where she was adversely mentioned.
Through Kiragu Wathuta & Company Advocates, Waiguru gave the rapper 48 hours apologise in writing and delete the song, failure to which she would sue for defamation.
She also threatened to seek orders for the immediate closure of King Kaka’s Twitter account.

According to Waiguru, the remarks about her in the song are highly defamatory and depict her as corrupt and having engaged in the theft of public funds at NYS.
Lawyer Ahmednassir has promised to represent King Kaka pro-bono, should he be sued.
Ahmednasir argued that King Kaka did not defame any politicians in his song because the song was highlighting the truth on Kenya’s tattered social fabric.
