Senators have questioned delays in payment of officials who carried out National Integrated Identity Management System (NIIMS/Huduma Namba) exercise more than six months ago.
In a statement sought by nominated Senator Victor Prengei (Jubilee), the lawmaker wants Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i to explain how the exercise gobbled up Sh6 billion and why the issuance and use of the said Huduma Namba cards has not been effected to date.
