Youth projects unveiled in 21 more counties

President Uhuru Kenyatta has officially launched the Youth Empowerment Programme in 21 additional counties, following the successful implementation of the project in Kibera, Nairobi.

The National Youth Service servicemen and women are set to begin work in counties which will include interventions such as slum civil works & public environment, dam and roads construction, agri-business, disaster Response as well as Huduma Kitchens.

The President pledged the Government's commitment to support the youth for the benefit of the country's development agenda. "As Government, we have to keep doing much more to help the youth actively participate in the march towards prosperity. We ask these servicemen and women to dedicate themselves to national service with enthusiasm as we embark on nation building," he said.
