Boxing: Former Kenya team boxer Nderu passes on in Nakuru

Former international boxer John Nderu has passed on. He died at his Nakuru home on Wednesday after a short illness.

Nderu’s son, Edward Mwaura, said his dad disappeared from home for a week and was later found at the Nakuru General Hospital.

‘’We transferred him to Baraka Hospital where he died on Wednesday morning.

He had a problem with his memory and could not remember most things, even at times forgetting his children, ‘’ Mwaura said.

Nderu, 75, leaves behind eight children. He retired from Kenya Prisons Service 17 years ago as a Senior Sergeant.
