Do you think Wilson Sossion used Knut to gain political favour?

KNUT Chairman Wilson Sossion follows proceedings during the NASA manifesto launch in Nairobi on 27/6/17-BEVERLYNE MUSILI

A workers' union is political in nature and I think Sossion used KNUT to gain political favour. In all aspects, he has been working in cahoots with the Opposition, the National Supper Alliance (NASA).

All aspects of politics have some origin and I believe there must be a way he gained entry into the arena using union politics in agitating for the welfare of its members. But his latest move may not have any political implication because the Government has accepted and is sorting out teachers' issues.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) that was negotiated and signed is a public document that belongs to the teaching fraternity and Kenyans as a whole. No single individual will claim credit for this because many players and the Government played a part while Sossion was only a spokesman of teachers.

It was also within the Government agenda to improve the welfare of teachers and it has accepted to release funds.

Taking this to NASA will not have any political implications because the Government has sorted issues relating to teachers and is ready to give funds.
It is within his personal choice to support any political outfit but he cannot claim achievement of the CBA as an individual since many players took part in the process, including the teachers' union national chairman Mudzo Nzili, among other players.
