Kenyan players rule Mombasa Open

Some of the participants in the second edition of the Nairobi Gymkhana Junior Open Chess Championships 2016.

Kenyan players dominated junior categories as Uganda took charge of the senior events in the Mombasa International Open Chess Championships at the Oshwal Academy, Nyali, in Mombasa. The Kenyans dominated the Under-eight, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and ladies' events. In girls' Under-eight, Janki Nipul won with six points, while Jamvi Nipul was second and Grace Mboya third. Meanwhile, Drish Shah won boys' Under-eight competition.
