Jaguar and Babu Owino fight in Parliament was only a curtain raiser

Reports of a recent scuffle between controversial Embakasi East MP Babu Owino and his Starehe Counterpart Charles Njagua alias Jaguar, which saw the two exchange blows in parliament shocked the nation.

After being caught on camera exchanging blows in Parliament with Starehe MP Charles Kanyi, Embakasi East Babu Owino has accepted Kanyi’s apology.

Babu went to his Facebook account and confirmed that he had accepted the Starehe MP’s apology, saying that their conduct in Parliament was ‘unbecoming.’

Jaguar who was elected on Jubilee ticket got irritated after Babu Owino referred to President Uhuru Kenyatta as the ‘caretaker president.

But it now seems the incident was only a dress rehearsal of what the 12th parliament will be. On Tuesday, an opposition MP who is former ward rep was engaged in a fierce verbal altercation with his outspoken Jubilee counterpart.

Jaguar accused Babu of disrespecting President Uhuru but Babu, on the other hand, retorted that Kenya has no president.

The exchange which occurred at the MPs restaurant lounge could have turned physical, where it not for the timely intervention of parliamentary catering staff who managed to calm down the two lawmakers.
