Potato farmers in Kenya to get cheap loans and access to markets

Some 23,000 potato farmers in 13 counties have signed agreements with financial institutions for cheaper loans.

Under the deal, they will also have access to ready market for their produce. To qualify, a farmer must be a member of a group or cooperative society and must own at least an acre of land.
