File, Standard

An IEBC member of staff has been killed.  The remains of Brian Silale and five other people were discovered on Wednesday at Arabal sub-location, Baringo South.

Through a press statement, IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati noted that the deceased, who worked as a Constituency Administrative Assistant (CAA) for Tiaty Constituency Office, was last seen on January 19, 2021.

“Silale was last seen alive being picked by unknown persons together with five other people from Chemolingot shopping centre in Tiaty.

“He was later murdered under unclear circumstances and the remains of his body together with other bodies were recovered on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Arabal sub-location,” read Chebukati’s statement in part.

The IEBC boss strongly condemned the incident and called for speedy investigations into the matter.
