Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana said on Saturday that his Muungano party was ready to merge with Wiper to help CORD co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka in his quest to secure the presidential nomination.

Prof Kibwana is the party leader of Muungano, which is among smaller parties in Lower Eastern region of Ukambani.

Kibwana said other regions were uniting to advance a common agenda.

"As Kambas we cannot be left behind, and our driver remains Kalonzo Musyoka," Kibwana said.

He spoke in Emali town in Kibwezi West Constituency when he commissioned the construction of a modern bus park and green grocery.
