Wamalwa calls on youths to save, invest in SACCOs

County youths have been advised to invest in SACCOs. Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa said the societies are the best option for the youths instead of depending only on white collar jobs, and loans from banks.

Speaking at Posta grounds yesterday during the launch of two buses and 80 motorbikes bought by Bungoma County Motorbike SACCO (Bucomot), Mr Wamalwa said there existed many opportunities for investing and borrowing from SACCOs.

"Many youths are now economically empowered after investing their money in SACCOs. This is the only way we can kick out poverty and unemployment among us," he said, as he cautioned SACCOs leadership from squandering members savings.
