200 parastatals choking under huge debts, says auditor Edward Ouko

Nairobi: Even after the bold step by the Jubilee administration to restructure 200 parastatals to boost their efficiency and effectiveness, some 21 State Corporations and agencies are still choking under a Sh16.6 billion debt.

Some of the debts indicated in the audit report released by Auditor General Edward Ouko date back to 1979.
