A fourteen-year-old girl who has been missing for the last two months has been found dumped and unconscious in a Naivasha estate.

The class seven pupil is said to be in serious condition after she was found in Kayole estate and was rushed to Naivasha district hospital.

The minor who is feared to have been abused for the period she has been missing was rescued by members of the public.

Emotions run high as police mounted a major operation to arrest those behind the kidnapping that left area residents in shock.

According to her father, they had been receiving phone calls demanding a ransom of Sh50,000 but could not afford to raise the amount.

The father told of the family’s agony in searching for the minor which took them to various towns without any success.

“We have gone to all major towns searching for the girl until yesterday when she was found dumped by the roadside,” he said.

The minor went missing two months ago after she was sent to a shop in Kabati estate leading to a major search.

The emotional father said that the teenager was very weak and incoherent adding that they were waiting for her to recover so that she could explain what happened.

A doctor in the hospital termed her condition as serious but stable adding initial observations indicated that she had been drugged.

Naivasha OCPD Charles Kortok confirmed the incident adding that investigations into the kidnapping are under way.

“We have not arrested any suspect yet and we are waiting for the girl to recover so that she can tell us what transpired,” he said.
