Lakers Hockey Club are seeking revenge as they begin their two-day road matches against leaders Strathmore University Scorpions on Saturday at City Park from 4pm as the KHU Premier League takes shape.

The Kisumu outfit last lost to the university side 1-0 last month at home and will be eying to maintain their unbeaten away record against the Meshack Senge-coached side.

Speaking ahead of the match, Lakers coach Austin Tuju said they would be building on their last weekend's home wins.

The Lakers completed a perfect weekend run last week after narrowly seeing off Sliders 1-0 and defeating Amira Sailors 2-0.

"We are currently playing well and I expect a lot from the girls who have been training and working hard for the past month since the defeat against Strathmore at home."

"The leaders survived and escaped with a controversial 1-0 win last time but we now have the chance to try and beat them. We know they are the team to beat so far if you take their unbeaten run into account and we are going to Nairobi prepared," said Tuju.

Lakers have won three of their last four played matches and a win today will see them leapfrog defending champions Blazers into second place.

Blazers (15) and Lakers (14) who will face off next weekend are separated by a point as Strathmore leads the log with 22 points. The Lakers will play USIU Spartans tomorrow at 9am.

In the men's Premier League, Western Jaguars will be seeking to stretch their unbeaten streak to nine matches when they host Sailors in Kakamega.

aguars stunned Kenya Police 2-0 last weekend to move second in the log and they will be hoping to move three points ahead of the law enforces who play tomorrow.

The duo is joint second on 24 points, although the law enforcers have an inferior goal difference. The jaguars have superior goal difference 11 goals to Police's nine.

However, Police has one game in hand and can move second if they win this coming weekend.

Other matches will see leaders Butali Warriors who are on course for a fourth consecutive title play Strathmore Gladiators as Police face USIU.
