A man from Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County, is claiming that a married church bishop has taken off with his wife of nine years. David Makori says Bishop Charles Maloba of Power Pentecost Church eloped with his wife, Esther Imani who is a singer, three months ago and that they are now cohabiting at an undisclosed location in Kajiado.
Efforts to bring her back home have been futile, he says, with Esther, with whom he has one child, insisting she loves the bishop and has no intention of reconciling with him. Esther and Makori were not legally married, despite having cohabited for years and bearing one child together.
