A 25-year-old man has succumbed to injuries he sustained after he fell from a campaign vehicle belonging to an MCA candidate in Trans Nzoia County.
Kwanza OCPD James Odera said the victim, Jacob Erika, was hanging in the politician's vehicle which was on a campaign trail when he fell off during the Sunday evening incident in Maziwa area.
"He was hanging on the politician's vehicle when he slipped and fell," he said.
Odera said Erika, who had sustained injuries on the head, was rushed to Kitale County Referral Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
"After the incident, the victim was rushed to hospital but died while undergoing treatment," he told The Standard.
He said investigations have been launched in connection with the incident.
