Chelsea discovered their Champions League fate on Monday when they were drawn against old foes Barcelona in the last-16 of the competition.

Upon learning they would be facing their old foes in the Champions League last-16 this February, Chelsea players were relaxed.

According to reports in Sport, the Blues stars took the news "very well" as they are already mentally prepared for the tie.

The report added that the dressing-room believes the game will be "very open, but we feel prepared to fight to go through."

Discussing the prospect of facing Barcelona, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte said: "It's a draw. Our reaction must be positive.

"When you are in this stage you must be ready to face every team. In this case we must be ready to face Barcelona.

"When you play against Barcelona you must put 120 per cent at home and away if you want to hope to go to the next round."

Over the years the two sides have had some brilliant battles in Europe's elite competition - the last meeting perhaps the most incredible.

The Blues went into that particular game with an advantage, after beating the Catalan giants 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.

But they went a goal behind through Sergio Busquets, lost John Terry to a red card, and then went two goals behind through Andres Iniesta at the Nou Camp.

As half time approached things were looking bleak for Chelsea, but Ramirez bagged a crucial away goal to put the Blues back in the driving seat.

After the break Barcelona bombarded Chelsea from every angle, but couldn't find a way back in the game - Lionel Messi even missed a penalty.

With the clock ticking down and time running out, Barcelona threw everything at the Blues to find that one goal that would win them the tie.

But they were caught on the break as Fernando Torres rounded Victor Valdes to score one of the competition's most memorable goals.
