At a time when all fans should be focused on one thing; supporting the team all the way, some fans are indulging in what they are good at; hooliganism.
If they are not throwing stones to disrupt matches, they are busy engaging the public off the pitch because their character will never allow them to maintain peace.
Jumping on moving trucks or buses on their way home or to the stadium, spewing out abusive words to people, harassing innocent people along the way or engaging in any action that violates the fundamental rights of other citizens, is their joy. That’s what we call hooliganism at its best and it is high time they changed that behaviour.
It is that bad behaviour that taints the name of the club despite the good performance on the pitch and if one was wondering why sponsors shy away from a big team like Gor Mahia, it is because of these simple, but serious things some fans do.
