Muchangi wins at Limuru while Langat explodes in Kericho greens

Paul Muchangi carded a sterling one over par 73 gross to emerge the overall gross winner of the ongoing 2023 NCBA Golf series played at the par 72 Limuru Country Golf course in Kiambu County on Saturday.

The Zero handicap Golfer was three strokes ahead of handicap 1 John Kariuki who was the men winner while handicap Solomon Mumbi settled for the men runners up slot after returning 79 gross.

Noni Wanyee playing off handicap 14 was the lady winner on 84 gross and Dr.C.N.Wangari carded 86 gross to claim the runners up slot.

The Junior prize was won by handicap 9 Jelani Kihanya on 82 gross while handicap 11 Bill Emase with 94 gross and handicap 17 on 88 gross were the Guest gross and the Staff winners respectively.

At the Kericho Golf club on the same day, handicap 16 Charles Langat emerged the overall of the KenGen golf tournament after rounding up the 18 holes daylong event on an excellent score of 40 points.

Nyagaga Kaunda playing off handicap 8 was the Guest winner on 34 points and taking the staff prize was handicap 9 Reuben Langat who had a score of 33 points.

Andrew Nyanusi playing off handicap 7 brought 39 points to emerge the division winner, while handicap 20 Ken Biegon on 39 points and handicap 32 Benjamin Langat with 32 points were the division two and three winners respectively.

While at the Thika Greens Resort Golf Club course also on the same day, the Thika Greens and Friends Golf day was won by handicap 6 Peter Maregwa with a score of 36 points.

Christopher Karanja playing off handicap 25 was the Men winner on a count back score of 32 points after sharing the same score with handicap 7 Joseph Maina who was the runners up.

Handicap 25 Magadalene Mbugua won the lady's prize on 30 points beating her closest rival handicap 26 Alice Gicharu to the runners up by a single point.
