Defending champions Gor Mahia will be seeking to maintain their unbeaten run in the FKF Premier League when they host Bidco United on Saturday at Kasarani Stadium.

K’Ogalo are the only side yet to lose a match in the 2023-2024 season after seven matches, and head coach Jonathan McKinstry is keen to continue the form that has seen the team keep pace with early season leaders Posta Rangers.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, McKinstry said they are focused and will not underrate Bidco who have only lost one match this season.

“Our opponents are equally a tough side. We have to maintain the tempo in our games today and not let the gut down right now. Losing only one match shows that they can hurt you when you are not serious and therefore we take this game seriously,” said McKinstry.

In Machakos, under-fire Tusker coach Robert Matano will be hoping for a fresh start after a series of poor results that have seen the brewers drop to 12th in the standings.

The brewers face an acid test against Sofapaka who recorded their maiden win of the season last weekend after beating Kenya Police 1-0 at Kenyatta Stadium.

While Tusker have not won their last three matches (two defeats and draw), they will be banking on their head to head 10-match unbeaten run against Sofapaka who last defeated the brewers in March, 2018.

Other matches will see leaders Posta Rangers seek redemption after losing their first match last week when they play Bandari while wounded Kenya Police play FC Talanta.

In Kisumu, Muhoroni Youth will play newbies Murang’a SEAL.
