Kakamega Homeboyz scored three goals in the dying minutes to complete an impressive 4-2 comeback win over Mathare United in an entertaining FKF Premier League match played at ASK Showground on Saturday.

Man of the Match Kibwana Shami scored a brace to add to Moses Mudavadi and Stephen Etyang goals as Homeboyz continued with their free-scoring run.

The Kakamega based club has now scored seven goals in the last two matches which leaves them ninth in the log with 31 points.

Relegation-threatened Mathare United had come from a goal down in the early minutes of the second half through John Mwangi’s brace but were unable to hold onto their lead.

Kibwana gave Homeboyz the lead in the ninth minute of the game to lead 1-0 at the break.

In the second half, Mwangi restored parity for the Slum Boys in the 57th minute before putting Mathare ahead in the 64th minute to lead 2-1.

However, the never die spirit of Homeboyz saw the Kakamega team restore parity in the 81st minute through Mudavadi before Kibwana and Etyang scored two late goals in the added time to seal important three points.

The loss leaves Mathare rotted at the bottom of the table with 14 points.
