Ronaldo's agent: Jose Mourinho will be the Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea

Jorge Mendes has backed Jose Mourinho to be 'Chelsea's Sir Alex Ferguson' and remain with Chelsea for more than 10 years.

The 'super agent', whose clients include Cristiano Ronaldo and David De Gea, doesn't think Manchester United have ever replaced the legendary Scotsman, having dropped out of the top four last season under David Moyes and struggling to mount a title challenge under Louis van Gaal this term.

The Special One is currently in his second stint at Stamford Bridge, having won back-to-back Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006.

He rejoined the Blues at the start of last season, and currently has them five points clear at the top of the table.

They are also in the Capital One Cup final, and enjoyed an unbeaten group stage of the Champions League. A fan favourite in West London, Mendes sees no reason why his Portuguese compatriot won't stay at the Bridge for the long haul.

"Jose will stay for sure," Mendes told the BBC. "He will be the Sir Alex Ferguson of Chelsea Football Club. He loves the supporters, he loves the city and I think he will stay there for more than 10 years."

Mourinho could land himself in hot water with the Premier League, having refused to show up at his last two scheduled press conferences, both before and after Chelsea's draw with Manchester City on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Mendes has tipped De Gea to stay with United, despite ongoing rumours of interest from Real Madrid.

The agent also says Radamel Falcao will be snapped up by 'one of the biggest teams in Europe' if the Red Devils decide not to extend his stay.
