Gunners fans pay more than any other Premier League supporters

Arsenal fans fork out more for their season tickets than any other Premier League supporters.

The BBC's annual Price of Football study documents the price of tickets and shirts as well as cups of tea and pies to establish just how much a day at the football really costs in 2014.

The cheapest seat as part of a season ticket at the Emirates comes in at some £1,014 per year.

By way of contrast, supporters of champions Manchester City can watch their team for just £299 with the most expensive seat at the Etihad retailing at £860, still some £154 cheaper than the Gunners.

The most expensive ticket at Arsenal is a startling £2,013, over double the highest price at 17 other Premier League teams.

Arsenal, unlike many of their rivals, include selected cup games as part of their season ticket package which goes some way to explaining the inflated pricing.

Indeed, their cheapest match-day ticket is a competitive £27 putting them firmly in the middle of the pack.

Chelsea fans have to hand over a minimum of £50 to watch the Blues at home, while the Newcastle faithful can watch the Magpies for just £15.
