Uchumi returns

Supermarket retail chain Uchumi has been relisted at the Nairobi stock exchange after a five year absence. The Uchumi share opened trading at Ksh 15.90, but dropped to 10.50 almost immediately thereafter to close at 12.50. Traders recorded more sale than buy orders attributed to the high cost of holding the stock for so long. The government also indicated that it could sell its stake soon.
