Bidco, US firm open Ksh1.2b high yield animal feeds factory in Nakuru

American agribusiness and food company Land’O Lakes has entered into a partnership with Kenyan manufacturing giant Bidco Africa Limited to set up a new state-of-the-art manufacturing animal feed plant in Nakuru County.

The factory, which was constructed at a tune of Sh1.2 billion will enable farmers across the country to access high yield feeds for their animals at affordable prices hence boost the productivity of their animals. The animal feed plant has a production capacity of 160,000 metric tonnes per day. The facility was officially opened on Thursday by Mr. Peter Munya, the Cabinet Secretary of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives.
