A woman with a mysterious illness is forced into action when a group of terrorists attempt to hijack a Trans-Atlantic overnight flight.

Thumbs up:

Foreign films seldom disappoint, and this amazing production from Netflix Germany is further proof. The pace of character and story development especially in the first half was great. The motives of each of the characters are believable and the acting is reasonable. The editing of all the shots, as well as the angles, add plausibility to a monster story. Even the make-up of the monsters was pretty good.

Thumbs down:

The movie only fails when it comes to the annoying child, included in any film to muck things up and just for the movie to happen. It is hard to accept that one could dislike a young character so much that you felt you wanted to stop watching. It is not entirely the child’s fault because the casting for his role was terrible, with the over-excited voice not matching the rest of the film.

The first act was reasonably good, the second act was way too long and predictable, and the third act ended with your typical action trope.

Verdict:

The film is basically “30 days of nights” meets “Snakes on a Plane”.

Better enjoyed dubbed, even though the mix between English and German in the subbed version is well done and quite watchable.
