I will never show my man on social media, says Maureen Waititu

News
Maureen Waititu has vowed to keep her future relationships away from social media.

Kenyan YouTuber Maureen Waititu has vowed to keep her future relationships out of social media. In an interview on NTV, the mother of two explained that she and her ex Frank Kiarie made the mistake of putting their relationship on the internet, a move she regrets.

“When we got on social media with Frankie, we did not know. We were very young. Very innocent. I will never put my marriage out on social media. I can tell people there is someone but not show him off,” said Maureen.

Speaking from experience, the social media influencer promised to keep her future partner private, away from prying eyes.

“I have regretted. Anything that goes on social media is permanent. If you show people a lot, they will scrutinize. People say things they do not know. Although the truth hurts, I will never show my man on social media,” she added.

Maureen and her ex-boyfriend ran a YouTube channel dubbed The Alphabeta where they documented their love and parenthood journey before going their separate ways and starting individual YouTube channels.

Nasty split

The Couture Africa Most Stylish Content Creator 2020 recently accused Frankie of neglecting their two boys and chasing them out of their house.

“He called me on 26th of August, this was on a Tuesday and he specifically told me, ‘I am no longer going to send money because I cannot see my kids as often as I want to’. True enough, he stopped sending money for his children’s upkeep till now. On the 7th of September, 2020 I can’t forget that phone call. He picked up his phone, called me again with the same narrative that since he is providing shelter and cannot see his kids as often as he wants to, he wants us to move out,” said Maureen.

Sharing his side of the story, Frankie explained that he tried to see his sons as often as he could but was always met with rules and restrictions. The last time he went to pick his boys up, Frank said Maureen prevented him from seeing them. To avoid any confrontation, he walked away but was allegedly blocked from leaving the premises by Maureen.

Frank’s current girlfriend Corazon Kwamboka was dragged into the fight with a section of netizens accusing her of breaking their home.

“Stop getting yourselves involved in other people’s stories. You believe anything and everything you hear either from this side or that side, stop wasting your mobile bundles,” Corazon said.
