James Blunt has lifted the lid on the darker - and downright bizarre - side of fame. The former army officer burst onto the scene in 2005 with mega-hit You're Beautiful, which seized the number one spot in 11 countries around the globe and cemented James' superstar status.

James has since recounted seeing his ex-girlfriend on the subway with another man, providing the heartbroken inspiration for the lyrics.
