A defiant Kim Kardashian has shared yet more stunning pictures from her idyllic 40th birthday trip. The reality TV star enraged fans this week as she bragged about flying her 'inner circle' to a private island to celebrate with her in the middle of a global pandemic. Despite being branded 'tone deaf' and 'insensitive' as she gushed about the extravagant holiday given the current state of the world, Kim has returned on social media to share yet more footage from her time in Tahiti.

In a slow-motion video shared to Instagram, Kim is seen emerging from the island's blue waters in a neon green string bikini that showed off her famous curves to maximum potential. Giving the camera her best 'Baywatch' strut, a dripping wet Kim ran her fingers through her slicked-back hair as she performed a sultry walk to the camera.

The mum-of-four looked incredible as she flaunted her super toned tum and hourglass figure. She then adjusted her thong bikini bottoms to avoid a wardrobe malfunction as she strolled out of the ocean before giving a smile to the camera. Kim, 40, appeared to give a sassy message to her haters by soundtracking the latest glimpse of her holiday to Nina Simone's Feeling Good.

Unapologetically Kim and her famous family members have been sharing various snippets from the trip - rumoured to have cost $1million - despite the huge backlash. It started when Kim told the world how she had surprised her family and friends with a five star holiday to a private island - with the location later revealed as The Brando Resort in Tahiti.

She gushed: "There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter. For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.

"Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment. After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.

'We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40 ". During the trip, Kim and her clan were treated to a number of surprises including a very unique gift from Kanye West.

The rapper arranged for a hologram of Kim's late father Robert Kardashian to present her with a special message on her 40th. "Happy Birthday Kimberly," said the fake Robert. "Look at you! You're 40 and all grown up. You look beautiful just like when you were a little girl."

The stunt divided fans of the couple with some dubbing it 'creepy' . However, birthday girl Kim was very impressed at the touching present as she told fans how she watched the clip 'over and over' again in tears.
