One of the most sought- after female artist in Tanzania, Faustina Charles popularly known as Nandy is said to have moved into a uxurious palace-themed mansion located along Mbezi-Beach in Dar es salaam.
According to Global Publishers, one of Nandy’s neighbours says the singer’s new house is so big the parking lot could fit ten cars.
“Nyie hamjui tu. Nandy amehamia huku Mbezi Beach ni jirani yangu kabisa lakini mjengo anaoishi si wa kitoto kuanzia kwenye geti, fensi hadi eneo kubwa la ndani ambalo unaweza kupaki hadi magari kumi ndani,” claimed the unnamed neighbour.
The source further claimed that the rent for Nandy’s new pad is not less than Sh90,000.
“Achilia ule aliokuwa akiishi Masaki (Dar) huu mjengo aliopanga ni zaidi aisee kwani hata kodi yake ipo juu, si chini ya milioni mbili kwa mwezi. Njooni tu muuone anavyoishi na matajiri wa huku tena hapa yeye anaishi na ndugu zake pamoja na wazazi wake,” said the neighbour.
Gifts her parents a house
At the beginning of the year, Nandy surprised her parents with a posh house to appreciate them for their love and support.
Taking to social media, the Njiwa crooner posted a video of her parent’s house encouraging other youths not to give up hope on bettering their parent’s lives.
Nandy first rose to fame after participating in a music talent competition back when she was still in school. The opportunity exposed her to late Tanzania journalist Ruge Mutahaba who mentored and directed her.
The Wasikudanganye hit maker has since won numerous awards for her work with the most recent being Best Female Eastern African musician at the Africa Entertainment Awards in the United States that took place about a week ago.
