Uganda’s dancehall sensation turned politician Bobi Wine to be sworn in

After winning a by-election to make his debut into politics, Ugandan dancehall singer Bobi Wine is set to be sworn as an MP on Tuesday.

The Kyadondo East MP-elect, who is popular across East Africa thanks to his hit songs and a long music career emerged winner in the by-election last week with a 77 per cent win over his closest rival. He was running as an independent candidate.
