Education CS Machogu: KCPE cheaters to get their results

Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Mchogu said some 252 candidates cheated in the 2022 KCPE exam.

The minister said the pupils will, however, receive their results with a score of zero in the subjects they cheated in.

Machogu said the candidates will, nonetheless, qualify for secondary school placement "in the spirit of 100 per cent basic education transition".

A total of 1,233,852 candidates, sat the 2022 KCPE exam, with the top performer scoring 431 marks out of the possible 500.

Machogu released the results at Mitihani House in Nairobi on Wednesday, December 21.
