Public primary and secondary schools have been instructed to display, on notice boards, funds allocated to their institutions by the government.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i (pictured) said directive was designed to promote accountability and transparency in schools. He observed that parents and other stakeholders must be appraised on schools capitation and instructed that all the funding details be displayed on schools notice boards.

The CS also instructed school heads to ensure each child is issued with a receipt.
