Four police imposters abduct, rape woman

Embu, Kenya: A gang of four masquerading as police officers abducted and gang-raped a woman at Itabua in Embu West sub-county. The assailants raided the home of a secondary school cook at 2pm in the Thursday incident and identified themselves as police officers before they demanded to be let in to interrogate him.

Area OCPD Terry Muchemi said once the men were inside the house, they forced the cook to surrender and took away his wife aged 37. They also robbed them of two mobile phones. Ms Muchemi said the police found woman dumped at Itabua Secondary School farm, which is four kilometres from the couple house. They took her to Embu Level Five General Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
