Married man who slept with vulnerable schoolgirl more than 50 times arrested after a long police chase

West Yorkshire: A married man who slept with vulnerable schoolgirl more than 50 times led police on a high speed chase when he was confronted about the affair.

Naieem Khan, 32, from Bradford, West Yorkshire, persisted with a "controlling" relationship with the 15-year-old girl despite warning from the police on two separate occasions.

Khan, a father-of-two, began seeing the girl after she shouted "sexy" to him as he drove past her in 2012.

Their illegal sexual relationship continued into the spring of 2013, with the girl even moving in with Khan for a time.

The girl's mother said she was powerless to stop the relationship with her daughter self-harming and was very keen to continue seeing Khan.

Both Khan and the girl lied about their age, she said he age was 17 and he pretended to be 19.

The girl revealed her and Khan had sex up to 50 times, despite the police intervening in October and December, 2012.

The incident on December 18, 2012, led to a high-speed chase by the police around Keighley, West Yorkshire.

Khan, with the girl in the passenger seat, ripped the bumper of his vehicle when he hit a wall and then collide with the back of a taxi during the incident.

The girl also fled from the car after the crash and Khan sped off with the passenger door hanging open.

He drove at double the 30mph speed limit before screeching to a halt and being arrested by police.

The girl did not know Khan was were married and took an overdose when she discovered the truth.

Khan, of Hillcote Drive, West Bowling, Bradford, pleaded guilty to three offences of sexual activity with a child, dangerous driving and child abduction.

Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC said the girl, who has now left the area, had also been sexually abused by other men and was "very damaged and vulnerable".

Khan was jailed for four-and-a-half years at Bradford Crown Court yesterday and made subject of an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

He was also ordered to sign on the sex offenders' register and banned from driving for three years.

Detective Inspector Mark Long, of the Bradford District Safeguarding Unit, said: "Khan took advantage of his vulnerable victim and entered into a sexual relationship with her, even though he knew she was under the age of consent.

"We would like to thank her for her courage in coming forward and reporting his crimes. Child sexual exploitation of any kind ruins victims' lives and will not be tolerated.
