Married woman strays for tilapia

By James Omoro

A fisherman was forced to flee in his birthday suit in broad daylight for dear life after he was caught pants down with somebody’s wife.

The incident, which occurred at Doho Beach along Lake Victoria at Kanam B Location, Rachuonyo North District, left residents in shock. The man in his 20s and a relatively older woman were spotted sprinting away nude after their midday romp ended unceremoniously.

The man had to run out of his own bedroom when the husband to his illicit lover ambushed them following a tip off by a good neighbour.

The woman is said to have excused herself out on pretext that she was going to “we arie tienda matin jokama (let me stretch my legs a bit)” and left her husband enjoying Tilapia and ugali.

The said meal, according to her husband, always satisfied all his culinary imaginations. Other than being his favourite meal, it was one of the best meals — one that gets his taste bad on fire — she had prepared for him this year, her husband later confessed.

It appears that at the back of her mind, she knew nothing could divert her hubby’s attention from ugali and deliciously fried fish.  But her husband, a taxi driver on the Kisumu-Homa Bay Road, was forced to abandon his sumptuous delicacy half way. This was occasioned by a call he received from a concerned friend, which bore the bad news that made his appetite vanish. In fact, he would have spat it all out had he known that that very fish he had been chewing with relish was what the fisherman had used to seduce his wife.

With his hands stained with ugali and smelling of fish, the man rushed out to reclaim what was his. Upon arrival at the scene, he caught the two in a compromising situation and descended on them with blows and kicks before they ran off.

But for the residents who had gathered at the scene following the commotion, it was a free show as the two illicit lovers were forced to leave their clothes behind as they scampered away for dear life. The fisherman ran and sought asylum from the neighbouring beaches where he was given clothes after confessing how he had used fish to seduce a neigbour’s wife. The cheating woman hid in nearby bushes before sympathetic residents came to her rescue.

Crazy Monday learnt that the fisherman, who is not married was fast turning into a wife snatcher with this being the third similar incident he had been involved in.

Local chief Joseph Ogilo said elders were contemplating on enforcing a policy requiring every fisherman to have a wife. This, the chief said, was to tame the anti-social trend of unmarried fishermen luring peoples wives — using fish — which has become quite rampant in Kanam B location.
