Shock as man serves friends paraffin claiming it is fortified spirit

A man served his friends paraffin claiming it was fortified spirit. The embarrassing incident took place recently in Kirinyaga County.

The previous night, the man had drunk his stock of spirits, which he kept in wine bottles.

Come morning, he had stumbled on another wine bottle, but in which his wife had kept kerosene. To nurse his irritating hangover, he sent for a soda, which he would use to dilute the drink.

 He called his buddies over to help him nurse his hangovers. Still unaware, the man poured soda into each of the four glasses.

He then opened his “wine” and poured it into each glass. The man did not realise his folly until the men stared at the “spirit”, which had formed bubbles when it came into contact with the soda. “Mzee is this not paraffin?” one asked. Smiling, he said  it was the same spirit  he had served them earlier.

“It smells strongly of kerosene, you better taste a little,” another man advised.

To prove them wrong, the man took a gulp of his “spirit” and immediately spat it out rather noisily.
