Gor Mahia made a gallant displayed against the Everton despite the Kenyan team losing by 1-2. In the much anticipated game played in Dar es Salaam,Kogalo made their fans proud by giving The Toffees players a fair challenge until the 90th minute.

New signing from Manchester United,Wayne Rooney was the first to net in the first goal in the thirty fifth minute. Two minutes later Rwanda national team skipper Jacques Tuyisenge cut the Rooney’s celebration short after equalizing in the thirty seventh minute. Kogalo continued with their spirit until Dowell scored the final goal of the match late in the second half.
