Why is Institutional land grabbing on the rise?

From Langata Primary to Nairobi Primary to Lavington Primary, now it is United States International University' land that grabbers want. Could it be that land grabbers view learning institutions as 'soft' targets? Perhaps some individuals perceive undeveloped land as though no legitimate owner exist. When an individual or entity takes up someone's land and the authorities that we have vested our trust in watch without acting then who are we supposed to run to?  I think that we may not need such institutions as the National Land Commission (NLC) leave alone the land registry that is run by cartels who work round the clock to steal from the very public that they are supposed to serve.

It is unfortunate that these cartels are run by dishonest politicians who have sort to rob the very people that helped them rise. One thing I have to say is that when a leader seizes to protect the interests of 'wananchi' and colludes with other arms to oppress them then leadership ends and they become criminals.
