Just 6 days into the month of July, we have witnessed terror attacks in the Bangladesh capital, Dhaka on July 1 where twenty hostages, two policemen and six suspects were killed in the raid. Only one suspect was arrested. The criminals attacked a cafe, Holey Artisan bakery in a diplomatic neighborhood of Gulshan. The extremist outfit Islamic State (IS) has reportedly claimed responsibility.
Before the shock settled, Baghdad suffered the worst attack in 13 years where 200 people have already been confirmed dead and scores injured as rescue efforts continue. Iraq is largely attributed as the birthplace of IS, its spiritual leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who was killed by an airstrike on June 8, 2006, in Iraq.
