Massive Identification card drive in Central shows bias

The National Registration Bureau's massive ID cards drive in Central Kenya ahead of voter listing raises eye brows as it is clearly discriminatory.

It appears biased and politically instigated to favour Jubilee in the 2017 General Election.

Does it mean that it is only youth in Central who do not have IDs? I am sure that the rest of the country suffers the same fate or is worse of than the central region.

If the election were to be credible, then the issuance of ID cards and by extension voter registration would be done fairly in all regions not Central alone as is currently happening.

The Government must not abuse its powers by favouring its strongholds with the intention of clinging to power.

It is a good thing to ensure all the youths who are eligible get ID cards but why is this being done selectively for Central on a large scale?

Why is it only in Central region where the registration bureau is conducting door-to-door registration? What about other parts of the country like Nyanza and Western regions where many more youth do not have ID cards and hence risk not voting in 2017?

Are the registration bureau's actions consistent with laying a level playing ground for the forthcoming General Election? I doubt it.

After Central, will the registration bureau carry out similar exercises in other regions? If not, then what is being done in Central is not morally correct and should be resisted as it is one way of rigging the forthcoming elections.

It is even astounding to hear leaders from that part of the country claiming that Central has for a long time been discriminated against in registration of the youth. This is a misrepresentation of facts.

If indeed there has been discrimination, how much worse is the discrimination for those regions which have never tasted power?
