Nation address should focus on economy

The highly anticipated State of the Nation address by President Uhuru Kenyatta is, as per tradition, expected to highlight the achievements and challenges of the Jubilee government and set the agenda for the country in the next one year or so.

The address is an important national event that MUST simply not be used to politic or point fingers.

Uhuru is expected to inform Kenyans on the status of our economy, national security, Constitution implementation, rule of law and about other sectors of the economy.

One crucial issue that Kenyans are waiting to hear from the President is the magnitude of official corruption, which has eaten into our economy.
