Mukamukuu Farmers Co-operative Society seeks State help over cartel

Members of the Mukamukuu Farmers Co-operative Society want the Government to crackdown on a cartel frustrating issuance of title deeds. They said a group of people has been holding illegal meetings aimed at inciting members to revolt against the cause.

Addressing the Press at the society's offices, the members led by Muia Makosi and Boniface Mulandi, said on March 11, a special general meeting unanimously endorsed the selling of part of the society's land (47 acres) to raise money to pay for the title deeds that were ready for collection at the Machakos Lands office.
