Our politicians will never cease to amaze me. Turning funerals into political rallies has become the norm. It is so sad that they are taking advantage of Kenyans gathered in funerals for their own selfish gains. Instead of condoling with the bereaved families, they take the stage to attack their opponents and in the process exchange bitter words, leaving mourners more troubled than they were initially. For instance, during the funeral service of Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero’s father at Wakeru village in Homa Bay County, the Opposition took the advantage of the region being their stronghold to attack the Government over the Eurobond. Though the work of the Opposition is to keep the Government on its toes, it should do it at the right time and the right place.
