Legislator dismisses Mung'aro ouster

An MP has dismissed the ouster of Gideon Mung'aro as chairperson of the Coast Parliamentary Group (CPG). Kwale County MP Zainab Chidzuga (pictured) said Saturday that the ouster of Mung'aro by 19 out of CPG's 33 members was a sham.

"There was no notice. It was a few individuals who sat somewhere and decided to do the elections without informing all members. We still recognise Mung'aro as the chairman of CPG," she said of the exercise which saw Gunga Mwinga replace Mung'aro.
