Mob lynches suspect for stealing from ‘boda boda’ operators

Mombasa,Kenya:A man has been lynched by a mob in Mariakani, Mombasa, after he was suspected to be behind a cartel that has been harassing and stealing motorbikes from boda boda operators. Katana Kazungu was allegedly killed yesterday morning by boda boda operators at Kavumbini area near Mariakani barracks. According to Kaloleni OCPD David Kerina, he was suspected to have conspired with thugs to steal a motorbike. “Kazungu is reported to be a notorious thug who together with others has been stealing from boda boda operators within the area and when the operators spotted him at around 7am, they beat him to death,” said Kerina.
