After weeks of staying below the radar, Murage Thuo was finally cornered by angry youths, who had all along been looking for him.

Their beef? They accused Mr Thuo of assaulting Nyeri MCAs at a meeting presided over by Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua on May 30.

Thuo should thank the police for rescuing him from his youthful tormentors. Before the men in blue could save him, however, Thuo put up a really spirited fight for his life.

The youths took issue with the police for failing to track down and arrest Thuo after the May scuffle. He was later taken to Narumoru Police Station.
