USAID funded project seeks qualified candidates for new positions

Abt Associates (AA), a major American business and government research, technical assistance, and consulting company seeks qualified candidates for a new USAid-funded project.

The company intends to employ 11 new personnel to be deployed in Nyanza Province to manage the USAid-funded Indoor Residual Spraying 2 (IRS 2) project.

Under the project, a monitoring and evaluation officer, environmental compliance officer, procurement officer, database manager, IT specialist, accountant, county coordinator, logistician, warehouse manager, and administrative assistant will be hired. 

Requirements

The employees are required to have high academic qualifications and professional experience. In an advert posted on the company website, applicants ought to have completed secondary school, attained first degree and a post-graduate qualifications.

Strong analytical and database skills and advanced statistical software, high level of computer literacy, and proficiency in statistical software experience on USAid-funded projects are other competencies the applicants must possess to qualify.

Relevant professional background, with significant experience in procurement and logistics of commodities and demonstrated experience in warehouse and stores management are other competencies the potential employees ought to have,” the site says.

The Indoor Residual Spraying project in Kenya is part of the United States President’s Malaria Initiative programme to reduce the impact of malaria in Sub-Saharan African countries. This will support the Government of Kenya in several activities, including Indoor Residual Spraying.
