When The Society Appreciates Your Death

Known to many is the common notion that everybody around you is friendly and understanding. But this will change the moment you get the following...

At 9.00 a.m., while driving to work on the famous Thika Super Highway, a bank manager veers off the slippery road and lands into a ditch. The car is wrecked. A close view gives a description of a driver who was speeding despite the heavy rains and apparent ignorance of traffic rules.

Normally it would take forever to clear the scene of an accident a while ago, but within minutes, it was all done. Now, one's deeds will determine what people say about you. And this is always aligned on the negative or positive side. Whichever side you take will depend on whether you knew the person wholly or merely partial.

A close friend hinted me that the manager was highly valued by his family in ''shags'' compared to the one in the city. Interesting as it may sound, the distinction between these two families is very well known.

Here is a breakdown of the views expressed by these two families. The guy's appreciation from the family in the countryside is majorly based on one thing...money. It's true that people from the village, especially women, will always be grateful to anyone who showers them with loads of cash. The phrase ''everybody loves money'' openly applies here. The reason behind this is simple; no one will question the source of your finance.

On the contrary, the guy's family, that resides in the city, is fully aware of his lifestyle hence their opinions regarding him are totally dissimilar. They shall tell the truth and any misgivings shall be aired in the open. Therefore, the two groups of families shall have distinct views i.e. some will praise him for the good deeds while others will rebuke him during the burial.
